There’s a strand of mid tempo disco that I find super beautiful, the smoothness and the high strings, mmmmmmniiiiice
Gorgeous song, joyful but really sad too, the Pips are a shot of Serotonin, love Gladys’ voice here especially towards the end, you know she’s not the staying kind baby don’t change your mind…
…that was written by Van McCoy, most famous for The Hustle (DO IT) which I think is an absolute delight but also behind loads of other great songs, like this
