Love the idea of this as a series but can I suggest that the results of the votes are shown after voting has taken place? That way a newcomer can find the DiS-consensus go-to masterpiece straight away rather than having to go back to the thread after a week?

Might help people participate a bit more in the thread straightaway too?

hmmmmm I deffo get the sentiment. Let me think it over

Too late to change it on this one unfortunately. Just think it’ll be neat to find out what everyone thought of an artist without any sort of bias. The concept of the thread is to pick 3 albums you think are great so in theory all of them should be highly regarded (at least thats the theory!) but also get time is at a premium.

I like the new format. I have never heard of said artist to be honest. Look forward to checking her out later this week.

U better submit a theme/artist and 3 albums

I certainly will, when work dies down a bit. On my third straight 16 hour day with one more to go, then fly home. I know excuses excuses…

Feel that not nearly enough people have heard this song:

It’s devastating and even more so in the context of the album.

She’s absolutely bloody wonderful. Saw her at the Lexington on the young man in America tour, it was like going round your mates house.

Liking this already. Thanks

She seems genuinely One of The Good Ones doesn’t she? I saw her at the Brudenell in Leeds and after her set she came out with the two support acts to do an impromptu cover version of someone’s song (I forget who) they’d all bonded over beforehand. Properly lovely scenes.
