Hello ma0sm, thank you for your question and your kind words. I do say “friend” sometimes in the real world, I can’t pretend that it wasn’t largely influenced by Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men but I am not an intimidating presence in any way. I will consider making a recording but I hate the sound of my own voice so this will likely not materialise.

Hello wonton, thank you for your question. I’m not a huge war film person really, find it difficult to keep up with who is who in them and therefore largely find them quite boring. I do like Apocalypse Now however on accounts of the real world nuttiness of it all.

Hi Any, sorry I missed this yesterday. Couple of football hypotheticals if I may.

  1. if you could reform the squads of former world/euro/copa winners (dead squad members can’t be replaced), at their current ages, which is the most recent you think a DiS XI could beat?

  2. if you could take 1 and only 1 current footballer into the DiS team who would it be and why?

  3. 10 clones of a footballer to make up a team (they’re allowed a keeper) who would be the best
    A) ever
    B) current
    C) from the current man Utd squad

  1. I think DiS would have to fancy their chances against the surviving members of the 1966 World Cup winning squad due to the diminished numbers and age of the participants.

  2. Crouchy, for the bants

  3. I think peak era C Ronaldo has got to be my answer for A and probably B as well despite his diminishing ability on accounts of his unbelievable physical prowess and winning mentality, I don’t think I’d have any issues with him playing any position aside from perhaps centre half but I don’t think it would matter. My answer for C would be Matic probably, think he’d do a job at CB, was a winger in his youth etc

Hello Spunky, thank you for your question. The most recent gift I got my partner was a big full-length mirror which she liked however it was recently ruined by flood damage and is being replaced this very evening as it happens! (or Saturday morning, currently under discussion)

Ah ok, well this is certainly a difficult question.

My least favourite is called the Odontomachus (apparently), these absolute bastards bit the living shit out of my partner and I after we (extremely foolishly) embarked on a trek through a Ugandan rainforest in search of a bat cave whilst wearing flip flops. Little fuckers swarmed all over us and whilst their bites don’t do any harm it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

I liked seeing those tiny little red ants you see sometimes on the rocks in my Grandparents old house, some fond memories of looking at them as a kid.

Your standard black ant in the UK seems like a GBOL, fascinating little knobheads.
