Nice answer

Sub question:

Would you rather be a Jurassic Park kitchen raptor, or a Jurassic World part trained raptor?

Oooh, great question. How many was in a team? Five? Six? I loved the Crystal Maze when I was younger, went to the crappy version at Southampton Megabowl a few times for birthdays. Ah man. Took it so seriously.

Definitely @marckee and @anon82218317 cos of megabrains and voices of reason, @1101010 cos he’s a big sexy logic nerd, that leaves one spot. Oooh I need to think of someone that’s either really sporty or big, or can just see things from an alternative point of view. Ummm. Argh this is hard! You’re obviously in because you’re amazing and would want to go and therefore give it 100%, ummm. I’d pick @rich-t I think. Great for beers after, and can probably get some physical challenges done.

This morning, about 5:50 am. My JJ72 poster had come off the wall at the top-right corner so I re-affixed it!

I’m not sure what happened there! I’ve decided against it tbh.

Hey Professor K. Love you lots.

I’ll get the second question out the way first: nope!

Why Wigan? First team ever saw. Dad too me to my first football match, Saints - Wigan. I was about 4 and it was an FA Cup game. Wigan got hammered (3-0?) but being a 4 year old, I had a favourite colour and that was blue. Wigan played in blue so I was like ā€œI LIKE THEM!ā€. I’d always ask Dad how ā€œthe blue teamā€ got on each week when we were watching whatever the mid-80s equivalent of Football Focus was on a Saturday afternoon. Grandstand? Just always had a soft spot. Fast forward to when I’m 14 and mum and I went on a holiday up to Anglesey to stay with her brother, were gonna stop off near Manchester on the way. As it happened, Wigan had a friendly against someone - who I’ve forgotten, Morecambe maybe - on what was my birthday. Talked mum into taking us to the old ground. We knocked on the club shop door about midday, and to cut a long story short, I was given a guided tour of the ground, changing rooms, given loads of merch, etc. The staff, including the secretary (Brenda Spencer) were like WHY HAVE YOU COME 240 MILES TO WATCH US?! and in that moment I knew they were MY club. That FA Cup Final is absolutely the highlight of my life.

Part-trained, then saves the day! I don’t mind being a drone tbh. Do what I’m told and pick up a pay cheque (or dead goat), repeat. Then you get to be all badass and pull something out the bag and everyone’s like WOAHHHH

That’s a brilliant question. I’ll get back to you in ten minutes!

@anon67149139, is there a specific road or climb you’d call your favourite?

And if so, which is it?

I genuinely don’t any more. I work at two places - the day job, plus family pub where I just cover holidays or help out etc. There’s no one at the former, though Josh can be a difficult bastard at times. Just one of those guys who’s constantly sarcastic about everything. Grates a bit, but he’s a good lad. At the pub, not currently, though there was Aidan who left last month. Nice enough lad, about 19 or so,. but everything was SUCH an effort, and he was always late. His mood would flip on a sixpence too.

I really like the Milbury’s RR loop. Not very forgiving, but you absolutely earn the lovely ā€œdescentā€ down to Belmore Lane. That’s quite boring though, sorry!

May I turn this AMA into a AYA? Just heard that we’re being delivered three new chickens this evening, so they’ll need names. Currently have 9 hens and 2 ducks, but we’ve probably had 50+ come and go over the last few years. Have named previous ones after band members, the spice girls, food, drink, dictators.

What’s three good chicken names? AFAIK they’re just bog standard chicken types.

That is quite boring you’re right, but mines equally as boring
