I don’t know if this has always hit me in an unintended way, but I find it completely heart breaking.
Personally, I think Harvey Milk’s “A Small Turn of Human Kindness” is one of the saddest pieces of music out there. It’s an album about a couple going to a house in the woods and one of them commits suicide, but it’s an hour long and only really works when listened to as a whole.
A lot of Backxwash would probably fit the criteria (if you like sadness pretty angry)!
