What does he expect to do, make a living from it? Sheesh.

The way I see it is until everyone on Disintegration State is making a comfortable living off our music, then no-one can.

I’m starting to think that by being part of Disintegration State we’re essentially enabling the birth of a supervillain. But I am a-ok with that tbh. I always thought I’d make a good henchman.

New release today, and this time it’s from me which makes the promotional aspect feel strange.

IDM/techno early Warp Records kinda feel. I really like it but then I’m biased! Best frame of reference is probably The Black Dog and Plaid.

Limited edition CD run via Bandcamp.

3 albums, 2 EPs

Only the recent 2 are new material - the first lot were reworked from years ago. But yeah, think it’s 7 years of repressed creativity bubbling up. Got 7 demos for the next one as well, plus a few work-in-progress tracks. In some ways I’m glad that our packed release schedule is gonna force me to allow them to gesticulate for a bit longer…

working my way through this now.

Lucid Nonsense is my favourite so far, beautifully chilled and I’m a sucker for a wobbly synth line

hopefully @Twinkletoes’ workrate will guilt me into making more music soon haha

Yay! I think that’s my favourite too. Wobbly bass are my way of cheating because programming bass sounds is hard!

think this is the best of your bunch so far for me, i like the way it loosens up as it goes on, feels like it’s relaxing into itself

Thanks :relaxed:

Yeah I think it’s a spacier sound that the last one, particularly the closing couple of tracks contrasted against Irregular Apocalypse

@Twinkletoes sounding really good on the train with all the dirty East London suburbs rushing by :ok_hand:

One thing though, you have mislabelled a track on either Spotify or the CD - the latter has it as Parallelogrammaphone (which is my favourite track title, btw) and the former just has it as Parallelogram.

Thanks FL :grinning:

It’s correct on the CD, but hadn’t clocked it wasn’t right on the spotify - cheers for the heads-up!

Listened to this twice now and really enjoyed it! My last favourite track is the first one, can’t pin down exactly why but I think it really improves from there and manages that trick of having plenty of variety but also a unifying coherent sound which is very hard to pull off.

Please tell me that “they sublimed” is an Iain M Banks reference!

Cheers dude! I thought the opener was the one most likely to split opinion (classic choice for an opener…). Glad the rest grew on you!

And that’s one of the 4 Iain M references!
