Really hoping I’ve done justice to Bam on Postcards From Voyager now!

(also thanks for playing my tunes, mr. sheeldz sir - it always feels weird hearing “Mute Branches” out loud)

I just got done listening and feel a little bit emotional. Thanks so much for the kind words and support mate. It’s been a pretty tough year for me with some major family illness issues and appalling levels of work stress, and this little (ad)venture has been a joyful light amidst the difficult times. Knowing that other people are enjoying the music is just absolutely the most amazing thing.

So proud of the incredible music that we’re getting to put out. Maybe at some point the quality will cease to surprise me, but every time I get something new sent through I’m blown away!

I also still can’t quite believe people are trusting me to get my greasy mitts on their music in my amateurish attempts to “master” their tracks.

Thanks so much everyone who’s in any way part of or supported this endeavour. You’re all brilliant. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Felt pretty similar! So lovely hearing @sheeldz talk with so much passion about the label and the music. And then I’m still always a bit surprised when the tracks start and it sounds soooooo good. I mean, I’ve listened to all the records bloomin’ loads, but there’s something about how the podcast recontextualises it (same with the Irish radio play) which casts its quality in a new light.

One of the most awesome things, and @BodyInTheThames has said this, is the context within a song can change and if my podcast gives you that feeling like then I’m winning.

But serious, @ghosthalo opening this week’s show might be one of my favourite openers to any show recently.

33 listens on Mixcloud in 24 hours is good, but the 2k downloads on the podcast RSS is better…

it was really cool to work on and to listen to everyone’s ideas, I bet it’s twice as cool when they’re your own tracks reworked etc!

Really glad you liked them

I got a kick out of being described as experimental

I feel so edgy

@sheeldz is such a good podcast presenter, just a real natural low-key charm which suits the music perfectly!

Alright gang, I’ve done a new cheeky little ‘single’ today. First track is from an album which should ‘drop’ early next year. Second track was deemed too disruptive to the flow of that album but came from the same sessions.

Sheeldz is such a good orator. Something really soothing about his voice that’s particular suited to one-man-band-style podcasts for late night listening. It’s not the kind of music i’d normally listen to but i’ve been missing out. Really enjoying it. The tracks so far have without exception all been brilliant.

Phew! That track gave me more trouble then any other I’ve worked on. Absolute bastard to get the levelling right.

I bloody love that last bit when it speeds back up and goes full tilt towards the end. Exhilarating stuff.
