Genuinely can’t remember the last album I bought. And this isn’t to be a try-hard bellend, but just don’t expose myself (oi oi) to radio during the day - TV’s always on some sports channel at work, and at home I just chill with some podcasts. Time to get back on the noise wagon

get back on it. start with spice girls - spice.

most of the synth stuff is made from Ableton’s operator synths layered, bass guitar, fender strat for the lead guitar parts mostly but I think it’s the duesenberg 49er for the first track.

Drums I don’t recall exactly but a bunch of drum sample packs from Ableton Live again, played on the Push2

This album is a superb album.

@Bamnan you have a very distinct musical ‘voice’. Whether you’re writing guitar-led pop stuff or jazzy electronica or piano ballads there’s a unifying thread in the approach that means it always sounds like you. I think covering that much ground whilst continuing to hold on to that voice is a very rare quality. Kudos mate!

thanks, I think that’s the first time I’ve tried to put a saxophone on something, doubt I would have been confident enough in the past but sometimes you just have to go with what feels right

Aw thanks a lot! That’s really one of the nicest compliments to receive, I’m sure you know how it is you always feel when you are making music like it might not live up to something you’ve made before, that tension is always there for me sadly but maybe that’s what makes it work.

Guess I kind of often go for a sort of hopeful melancholy which seems to be what inspires me in my favourite music, Elliott Smith, Kozelek, Songs: Ohia etc. Happy that can translate to all sorts of different styles, sounds like a wanky thing to say but I don’t really believe in genres, when I’m writing something I just think what sounds would work together

I always get this and a sense of curiosity from yr music, like there’s some sense of wonder still remaining even in the depressing aspects of the world

I do most of my music listening when I go for walks so this is the kind of feeling I want to have if I’m listening to something and out walking, something to console me and take me on a little journey

Just installed the Spotify app on my works phone just so I can take this dreamy masterpiece with me on my walks.
