What the fuck? Have you never been in a shop before?

I don’t have pets or visit the pet food aisle, but I know you can buy it in many different sizes.

is there somewhere else to hide them that is on your way to the toilets?

Marathons were 62g

In my desk at work I currently have:

1 multipack Snickers
1 Mutipack Kitkat Chunky
1 Multipack Mars (2 left)

You’ve got to bulk buy these things when they are £1 a pack so I can have a bar of chocolate with my lunchtime sandwhich as dessert.

1 bar a day (not including weekends) and as there are 10 left that will see me through a couple of weeks.

I don’t know how to express this any more clearly: 40-ish grams of chocolate is not that much chocolate. It’s about an ounce and a half of chocolate in old money.

As Marwood says, I’d happily have a chocolate bar with my lunch most days. There’s nothing speculative about it: I like chocolate.

Piss on the snickers in shame apparently

Would you say one beer a day is a lot?

not as catchy

Seems like a mixed bag, tbh. You’re totally right of course: I do eat more chocolate than I probably should do, but I exercise regularly, drink only occasionally, have a healthy BMI and don’t have a particularly sugar-laden diet otherwise. Still, maybe I should cut down.

I think hyg had a fair point, though: if you go into any Tesco Express / Sainsbury’s Local, the ends-of-aisles will be laden with offers like this: Twirl Bites for £1, multipacks of Snickers for £1 and so on. Surprised that you didn’t know such a thing existed.

Finally

I didn’t enjoy this comment much, particularly the Lidl bit. Maybe you didn’t mean it to be snipey/pejorative but yeah.

Lidl isn’t a cornershop; it’s a budget supermarket!

And your “DiSer as brand” was intended as a gentle and fond dig. Genuinely wasn’t intending to cause any offence, especially as (I’m sure) you’ve used it towards yourself in a self-deprecating manner.
