I’m going further and deleting anybody I know on Strava that Zwifts.

I’m not really as I bloody love @japes

quite fancied doing specific training, instead of just fucking about on a bike. which admittedly you can do on an actual bike too but yeah

have also become quite scared of black ice recently, apropos of nothing

Sounds shit

Bunch of pricks

lead a penge ride yesterday. forecast was like 1 degree or something and we weren’t stood down, so i thought “oh shit i’d better plot an ice free route”, so i did, like 85km of the most boring roads you could imagine. woke up, went out, was fucking freezing but NO ICE WTF. sake.

i used to take that stance until i did it and now i can relate to how fucking hard it is

Glorified spinning session (for twats)

no argument with this

@EuropeEndless are you on zwift already? or just thinking about joining it?

What’s your FTP, and what’s this in W/Kg?

It thought mine was alright (at best), until I saw this and then I cried at how rubbish I am.

On it already (got a Wahoo Kickr back in December). Love it.

Gonna take a stand and stop giving kudos on anyone who rides slower than 25km/h.

gonna take a stand and stop giving kudos to anyone whose rides are less than 200km

Anyone who rides less than 1500m climbing per 100km

FTP was apparently about 270 or just under 3 w/kg. no idea how accurate that is, but seems pretty consistent

need to retest it though as haven’t really been putting in the effort lately

My FTP last time I tested it was 3.64w/kg, which makes my 20 minute about 3.84w/kg. That was end of November iirc.

I was doing a lot of miles on the road (and climbing) from November to start of December but that’s dialled back cause of the weather and other life stuff. Since then I’ve been doing 2/3 sweet spot sessions a week and a recovery session with some shorter 30 second sprint efforts. Sessions are either 50min (1x 40minute sweet spot) or 90min (2x30min sweet spot with 5 min rest between) and include warm up/cool down.

Had planned on doing another FTP test this week before starting something a bit more planned leading up to our Mallorca bike trip but I’ve been ill. Will get back cycling again then do a test to make sure my zones are right for my ERG intervals.

Plan is to keep doing 2/3 sessions a week and try to get out on the weekends for some proper cycling weather permitting.

what do you do for a recovery session?

have heard it’s a good idea to do high cadence drills in really easy gear
