Do you believe in life after love?

It’s a pretty strong lyric when you think about it. Kinda adds weight to the autotune, as though without it Cher would be falling apart. So much self criticism

“no matter how hard I try”

Yet it’s clear that Cher is hypercritical about the whole situation, which suggests strong levels of empathy. She doesn’t deserve this, she never asked for it. She puts the blame squarely on herself yet we know there are two sides to every story.

But after all is said and done, you’re going to be the lonely one, oh

In all honesty, I didn’t see this coming. Then again, is this a genuine statement or Cher talking to herself battling with the left and right sides of her brain. Either way it shows strength and great hope for the future.

i am

I have been working on a joke for which this is the punchline for ages but I can’t get it to flow. Something like, Cher has launched a new competition to find her greatest impersonator - Sunday, 6PM, tune in to Cher and Cher-alike!

It’s crap though

Not better, just more

I saw her going halves on a bag of chips with her impersonator.

Well, Cher and Cher-a-like.
