Do you buy ice or make it

Tell me about your ice habits here.

I tried to get some from waitrose but they’ve runout.

So now I’m making some but it never lasts that long. Need to get into a habit of making it every time I empty the tray

Buy. Once I stole a sack from a gas station in Arizona.

Would melt quickly in that heat

Exactly! That’s why we needed a sack

Always used to make it, but yeah - use it and forget to refill. Hot day… disaster!

We keep a big plastic container in the freezer and top it up with cubes from the trays and it works quite well and we always have ice which is nice

Yeah I’ve got this in the go. Big plastic tub in which the ice goes.

I never use it so neither. I’d definitely make it if I did though, it’s free to make!

Maybe we could just fill it with water and make one big cube

I remember there was one at the hotel we stayed at in Orlando. It was amazing.

Both. Have 4 trays (standard cubes, lego men, hearts, cats) but often buy a bag cause it’s better ice.

Are yall using tap water or filtered water

Make ice.

Buy for picnics or big parties where you need loads, though.

I just use tap water but then the only reason I ever had a water filter was to extend the life of my kettle.

We make it.

My other half read a tip once that when you go on holiday you put a penny on top of a frozen cube, so when you come home you know if you’ve had a power cut and your frozen food shouldn’t be eaten. It would never have occurred to me to do that (or to worry about eating re-frozen food)

I make my own. Tap water up here is great.

Isn’t it weird how long it takes McDonald’s ice to melt?
