So what’s your go-to shorthand (written not typed obvs) for ‘and’?

nobody can draw an ampersand

not even marckee even though he’s about to claim he can

Why would you do that, when a ‘+’ is so much quicker?

I wouldn’t because it would inevitably turn into an 8 with a bit of a tail.

OR

In order of most used:

a kind of backwards 3 with a vertical line through it
an ampersand
n’
+

the plus sign to me has specific additive meaning which i don’t feel comfortable with in text

I cringe everytime I see the title of that Baz Luhrmann film

The first homework we got from from music class in secondary school was to learn to draw a treble clef. I can now do this :+1:

Learned ampersands separately, as it seemed daft to be able to do a treble clef and not &.

Same. Teacher was really fussy about it touching the right lines too.

Tbh he was mostly concerned with making us learn Kodaly hand signals for some reason, and not bothering to learn anyone’s name.

“Little girl” even worse.

The other music teacher got us to learn how to do a terrible synth arrangement of “It’s My Party I Can Cry if I Want To” on Cubase. He was the cool teacher, and had curtains and did music for adverts, so we weren’t allowed to call him whatever the hell his surname was, it had to be Dan.

Haha nice one Dan. Like the sound of this guy
