This is kind of the same for me and āseriousā films TBH. Like, I dunno, The Lost Daughter: I could see the film was going to be fraught and tense and stuff but it was great when I watched it, I just donāt like the idea of films like that from the āoutsideā. Itās basically why Iāve never watched loads of films that people love like The Master or Moonlight or whatever.
Yeah this is me when it comes to horror or super violent things. Iām a little squeamish so thereās that but thereās been a few horror things I liked where it took ages to convince myself to watch it because āooh Iāll watch some horrible things happenā causes some dissonance in my head.
Cooking - One of my favourite hobbies, even when I mess up. Fun and rewarding because I get food. Hoovering - Miserable and upsets my dog. Food/Clothes shopping - Too many people, too many options. Drinking - Yeah Cinema - Overpriced and usually sitting near film-bores but movies are good. Live Sport - Not my thing My job - lol. lmao. Washing up - Too wet but satisfying to finish. Organising - When I was a kid i used to like taking down all the books in the house and reorganising by title/author/colour just for the sake of it. Yes, I have autism Gardening - Help my dad sometimes and itās nice and relaxing Assembling furniture - lmao. lol
