Kind of similar to getting lyrics tattooed I think - am slightly worried about the milkshake duck effect, like what if you get something inked and the artist turns out to be a Ryan Adams or something

Go with non-problematic artists who have split The only lyric tat I can think of I’d like is NIGHT MUST FALL from Talking Heads’ The Great Curve. Great band, but they’re never getting back together for a dodgy reunion album

Got a Ryan Adams (Cardinals neon rose logo) one done in 2005 - back when I thought that an album like Ashes and Fire would be the worst case scenario…

Whenever anyone asks me about it now it’s just a rose because I like roses ok

Got some temporary tattoos printed with my approximate design to try it out in different sizes and places, just waiting for the weather to drop 10° so I don’t sweat it off instantly.

Not sure how old you are but I got my first tattoo in my early 30s and didn’t dare tell my parents! They just kind of roll their eyes about it now. I don’t particularly like having mine on full display so it’s rarely seen anyway. There’s few places that can’t be covered if ever needed so they really have nothing to give you shit about.

Second one booked in for Saturday. Hoping it cools down considerably by then.

I know, just it is really grating and demoralising having your choices repeatedly questioned, judged and looked down on (also currently living with family means that I don’t get away from it at all)

Did my first temporary try, sizing and orientation are a little out and it isn’t quite properly as round as it should be, but I am still really keen on it? Tried it in the position @sarahispi suggested and I think that will be the winner - easier to cover with short sleeves than lower arm if I don’t want it out.
