Alright, I’m going to sign up to these bastards.

It’s very disconcerting when you’re still in your pants and a man comes abseiling past the bedroom window.

Wind.
Oak.
Leaner.

Used to have a window cleaner that came around every 2 months. But I cancelled him in December as we had so much builders dust, it seemed pointless. Never heard from him again.

I probably should call him or someone else. I would do it myself, but its a three storey house with a garage on the ground floor, so I don’t fancy cleaning the top windows without risking breaking my neck.

Have a guy that does the front. Would like him to do the back, but we’re never in. So do them myself (well, the ones I can reach)

yes

Fuck off pal.

Save it for Thursday, please.

You seem like someone who would have Confessions of a Window Cleaner in your VHS collection.

When I was a kid I was sure my mum told me that sometimes window cleaners just go up streets cleaning windows with no permission or no agreement to do it, then just leave a bill and go back later to hopefully get paid. This doesn’t seem like a sensible business practice. Was she talking bollocks?

Probably true.
But they would only clean the windows that didn’t pay once. Like a try before you buy thing I guess?

yeah i’m sure this was what happened when i was a child

my mum would leave the cash in an envelope on the doorstep

Oh. Also get my car cleaned. Usually a guy in Sainsbos car park.

cleaners, window cleaners, gardeners? You disgusting bunch of tories

We live opposite the car wash. Bf reckons he’s close to getting to know them enough that they’ll drop the car back in the car park when they’re done.

We have a window cleaner who will only accept a personal referral from someone he already cleans windows for. All a bit weird tbh. Windows look good though.

Would never get a house cleaner, as it’s not exactly hard keeping on top of things.
Would never get a gardener, as I enjoy gardening.
Did have a window cleaner, as I’m scared of heights. Although its’s been six months since last time, and previously we’d had years just leaving it. But I have been cleaning the ground floor myself.
I hand wash my car, perhaps twice a year.

The TV announced last summer that she’d got us a window cleaner which seemed odd as we live in a rented house with crappy failed double glazing full of condensation. It can be as clean as you like on the outside but you’re still not going to be seeing much through it. So why employ a window cleaner? I’m a bit suspicious here…

someone does the outside on request. usually once a year because i’ll forget to do it sooner.

should probably book them to come and do them again soon

Was just joking mate. Trying to move the thread along to its natural end point on DiS
