Glasses
Cups/Mugs
Cutlery
Plates and bowls
Saucepans

Glasses first as why would you wash glasses in dirty, non fresh water?

What kind of unhinged lunatic does the pots/pans/baking trays first?

Nah. Pots and trays left to soak, first plates, then cups, then cutlery, then pots and trays

Now, I’ll tell you why I do cutlery last. It’s cause I’ll fill a mug or glass with soapy water and leave the cutlery to soak while I do the other bits (usually in your order or cleanest to dirtiest) and then it basically glides off. Very few things as satisfying as getting between the prongs of a fork

I’m probably not very thorough with my washing up it has to be said, good enough will do

Bloody love a good bit of washing up. S’basically giving the plates a nice bubble bath. Don’t agree with people who dry and put away straight after mind you, life is too short for that

don’t really get why you need to dry anything, just leave it on the rack until the next day, job done

Get the big boys out of the way first. Pretty much my philosophy for everything.

(although if something needs soaking I will obviously let it soak first)

Hardly ever need to let things soak. Sounds like you’re getting cooking wrong.

I’d swap pot & pans with trays, but otherwise, yup, same as me.
