Thinking ahead to October and the 31 Days of Horror challenge. I’m probably not going to be able to do all 31 days in between college and work. :frowning: Might shoot for 13 instead?

I have never done this but by gum if I was ever going to do it this might be the perfect year

Coool, was it actually shot where it claims to be in the film or is it wales or something really ?

the only year I’ve managed it (2018) I was unemployed, lol.

That bit is certainly in Wales. The inside of the Slaughtered Lamb is in Surrey!

Haha aaah if only I was furloughed in October. To be fair, I watch a horror film most nights… maybe I have done it without even thinking. Would be good to set a line up with newer films I haven’t seen a billion times! Maybe we should make a thread?? Or is that overkill?

My wife would so divorce me if I tried this, but believe me, I’m there in spirit!

@Shimmetry did the 31 days of SHOCKTOBER! in alphabetical order a few years back which was mighty impressive :+1:

Hey, I did that it’s true. I was waiting to start work, which was going to be on 31st October so it just fell perfectly. Recently rewatched two of my favourites from the run ‘Noroi: the Curse’ & ‘Hell House LLC’ when I had a Shudder subscriptiin during lockdown. Both still great. How is everyone? New job has changed a bunch of things, including how often I check into DiS!

We all gave up watching horror, bought bicycles, listen exclusively to Idles and stan Sir Keir. Think that’s about it tbh tbf :+1:

^This - used to stare at the horror and sci-fi sections of the local video store endlessly. Which lead to me eventually renting this masterpiece when I was finally old enough (ie 14)…

It was…every bit as good as the cover suggests

Did I mention it was also available in 3D complete with the old blue and red cardboard glasses?

In lighter horror prayer news, my sister got me this a few years back which is very entertaining…

I’ve seen Ringu but not for like 20 years or something daft so should probably watch again

Yeah not seen it myself either, I actually like how the selection of films is quite small. Think I can get through a lot

Just had a look through whats on there, I also like

Auditon
Society
One Cut Of The Dead
Big Bad Wolves
Evolution
The Bay
It Follows

I watched Random Acts of Violence on there yesterday. Worth a watch as its like 80 minutes

I watched Society for the first time last week, I was a bit put off as the main image is from rge ending and looks a bit yukky but its a good fun mystery before

Tenebre is also a good giallo thats on there like Crystal Plumage

That is a truly beautiful piece of art and I’m glad to hear the movie lived up to your expectations. If I had a time machine, one of the first things I would do would be to go back and just hang out in the basement of the video store where I grew up which is where all the good stufff ended up. I remember being obsessed with the cover to Titan Find:

That initial tagline terrified me as a young boy - the idea that hell was a physical place that starts at the limits of space jsut freaked me out. Finally got round to seeing the film years later and it’s OK, but the poster is one of my favourites.
