I’ll probably just fast forward to the rude bits.
This has given me an idea of a spin-off thread. Bit too early to start a thread though (unless it’s a morning thread or someone has died)
Seen that thing in the news where you can skip the intro music on Netflix now.
Progress.
Do you mean at the cinema? I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same film at the cinema more than once.
i saw face off twice on the same day at the cinema
I’ve never been to the same cinema more than once. I’m running out of options though so I may have to change this policy.
I’ve seen Evil Dead at the cinema three times, despite it being released a decade before I was born
I’ve probably seen Hercules in New York over 60 times.
And The Room 15+ times
I’ve never even been to New York
Anybody ever worked at a cinema? You see the same films over and over again. I’ve seen Cheaper By The Dozen quite a few times. Elf too.
Which reminds me - I have canonical Christmas and Halloween films that I watch every single year. This behaviour is in no way unusual.
me too
Die Hard and Muppets Christmas Carol
Kids today (read: anyone younger than me, also some older) don’t even watch a film properly the first time. Just stick it on, and stare at their phone. Scum – subhuman scum. Then they’ll be all “nah it was shit”. WAS IT? Like you’d know. How were the memes, Jason?
Anyway, I’ve watched a few films more than once, because they’re good, and I enjoy enjoying myself. Wayne’s World, Pulp Fiction, etc. Likening it to listening to an album more than once isn’t too far off. It’s all about the journey, not the end result.
Similarly, it riles me when people say they’ve ‘beaten’ a game. Is that all you did it for? Fuck me. Just enjoy yourself. Relax.
Christ.
Wayne’s World
- I have seen it once
- I have seen it more than once because I enjoy comedy
- I haven’t seen it

What film have you seen the most, and how many times have you seen it?
for me it’s probably Toy Story and about 25-30
Some i don’t even watch at all
Probably a comedy, Airplane or Naked Gun or something probs and I reckon I’d be pushing 20 for them.
In the cinema I’ve seen a handful of films twice but somehow ended up seeing Big Fish which is not good three times on the big screen.
Watched films over and over as a teen. Also as a student, when I wanted mates to see them.
Hard to justify rewatching films these days, but I’ll revisit a personal classic like 10 years on when I’ve forgotten half of the plot, if it comes on TV when I’m bored, or it gets re-released in cinemas.
