When you use one on a nettle sting. Does fuck all, it’s placebo.

Since the placebo effect is arguably as important as an actual remedy when it comes to pain relief I’d say the fact that dock leaves don’t contain nettle-sting abating properties is immaterial if you believe using them helps.

Isn’t the burdock bit of Dandelion and Burdock from the dock plant?

More like dick leaves

It does help though doesn’t it. Even if there’s no specific chemical affect, a nice soothing dock leaf makes it feel better, and that’s what counts.

Dock leaves is all it takes
Fallin’ in love with me

Says on Wikipedia that:

In George Eliot’s Adam Bede , set in the early 19th century, broad dock leaves were used to wrap farmhouse butter

And this is exactly the sort of cute and wanky pretend I’m living in an isolated cottage with only leaves for company sort of behaviour i see myself getting well into tbh.

Probably, but I’m only speaking for my practical experience.
