Yeah, I didn’t go back because having spoken to my family they said it had probably just wandered outside after someone left the front door open. Aww.
I kept your advice in mind recently when problems with dog walkers persisted. I made contact with our other initial option via a different contact method…and they responded From the beginning, they just appeared much more professional and knowledgable. Also far more organised and give you specific time slots. So we’re now using them 2/3 times a week and feel much more relaxed. Thank You
Here’s some more Martha:
Hmmmm…I’ve come to recognise the expression in the top picture very well. It’s the “I’ve got something I shouldn’t” look
Haha, yes, the top one is known by every spaniel owner. Glad you’ve found a walker you’re happier with.
Ugh she’s just so chunky and cute and I want to squish her
I’ve just been looking at yours upthread and falling in love! Springer or sprocker?
Just a cocker
Oh really, I need to learn my spaniels (wouldn’t say he’s “just” anything though, he’s gorgeous)
I feel like Honey isn’t drinking enough water in this heat, but she’s often just refusing water if I put it in front of her. Am I worrying too much? Do dogs just know when they need to drink?
Yeah, don’t worry unless she starts displaying other symptoms or weird behaviour or owt.
Dogs know how to stay alive.
Cheers man. I’m checking her regularly for any signs of heatstroke and making sure she’s not lying in the sun, but just feels like she isn’t drinking much water.
My dear ol’ dog would often seem like this on hot days as well, he’d always eventually lap up a shitload of water though.
He tended to not drink water out of a bowl that often at the best of times, would always go outside to my Dad’s pond to have a drink much to my Dad’s annoyance.
Got home yesterday evening and the neighbour’s dog had gone missing. Was absolutely horrible hearing how distressed they were and I’m a big fan of the dog. Went out to help search for her for a couple of hours, luckily she was picked up by a warden and taken back in the evening which was a huge relief considering she doesn’t have a collar with details on it!!!
Please, please, please make sure your dogs have collars with a phone number on them.
