Haha, she’s certainly more similar in nature to Snuffles than Snowball - her wardrobe is also slightly less futuristic
LOOK AT HIS WEE FACE!!!
How does he get verified?
think he needs to connect his facebook
you have connected your facebook, GOODBOY!
What breed is he? Looks a bit like a staffie but legs are too long.
Staffie cross. Can’t remember with what though.
I really want a dog, and i’ll probably post further down asking for advice, but concluded that Borrow My Doggy would be the solution. Sadly, the experience has been a total waste of time. Basically, I messaged a load of people and not one got back to me.
Having dug a little deeper it seems that my needs (get to know a local hound that I can take out sometimes, helping out the owner) don’t match with the sub-text of most people posting on there (I want a free, regular dog walking service).
Actually all makes sense, as who wants to make friends with a stranger and hand over your dog, but was a shame I couldn’t get anything at all out of it.
No. Verification is payment + some simple identity verification steps to make sure that you’re not a wrongun. People can’t message each other until they’re verified.
I’ve had some success with it. My experience was that most people found regular walkers pretty quickly but could always use additional dog-sitters who could take a dog an evening/day/weekend. Someone offered me a Samoyed for a whole 3 weeks whilst they went travelling but heartbreakingly I couldn’t find a way to make it work.
My main experience was dog sitting two cockerpoo’s, and walking a super-energetic basset hound. Had to stop because we got cats and dog sitting just wasn’t practical.
My advice would be to keep an eye on it and to login before the email update of ‘new dogs in you area’ goes out. The best people to get to know are the one’s who’ve just signed up or just registered as they wont have a regular network yet, and if you contact them before anyone else you’re well set.
I didn’t really think the dog would have to connect his facebook
i know, i was just trying to be helpful…
Here are my dog woes;
I REALLY want one. Always had them as a kid, and am now all grown up with a house that is (nearly0 ready for one, a daughter that is busting for one, and a Mrs JH who has concluded she is also in on the project. Happy days, am I right? Well, only if the following can be resolved. Dog owners can you help with the following:
1, I work full time, Mrs JH works part time, but is essentially out all of three days a week. So would need a dog walker, or similar. I can deal with that, but the cost really does add up. I have no choice though, right? But is a 1hr walk in the middle of the day, actually enough for a young dog, on it’s own, for maybe 7 hours? Feels wrong to me, even with the walk.
2. I have cats. Plan is that they can have sanctuary upstairs, and hopefully can all get on well enough to go downstairs - the dog has to stay downstairs, always. That works right?
I actually think I can work every other element out, if I can get those two bits sorted.
OMG! They are my absolute favourite and are extremely rare, you are incredibly lucky
really want a dog again. here are my favourite dogs, they are all big dogs.
STRAIGHT BACKED german shepherd/alsatian:
Rottweilers are so fucking cool. And nobody is going to mess with you, yet they seem soft as shite.
yeah they’re like big slobbery teddy bears who will also rip the balls off potential perpetrators.
