I’m a bit concerned as her belly under the skin looks dark, almost like a light bruise. Taking her to the vets for a final vaccination so hopefully they can have a look. Anyone had anything similar?

Molly sometimes gets darker skin under her belly but that usually turns out to be dried on mud… Its worth asking the vet if you’re not sure IMO.

Ah ok, Misty’s is definitely under the skin as we’ve bathed her and washed her belly as thoroughly as we can! Will ask tomorrow. Thanks :slight_smile:

My parent’s dog got darker patches on his underside when he passed into adulthood/became fully grown (despite the fact he’d been neutered before they got him) - don’t know if the same happens to female dogs. Hope Misty’s ok!
