Doing a run to the tip

Anyone got anything they want taking?

3 bin bags that are making me feel so distressed as I can’t get rid of them.

Please someone provide a tip run service for the carless.

I’m good thanks, but I’ve just remembered I forgot the paint amnesty day that was last weekend :weary:

Big Ikea box for the cardboard bit, thanks

Got a broken heated air dryer that I need to take but keep forgetting if you could grab that. Thanks.

Load of cardboard and some general detritus please

Load of old paint tins. Couple of massive cardboard boxes. Cheers

Old photography developing chemicals, an ancient laptop and a redundant monitor, please.

Due to the popular response to my kind offer I’ve had to hire a van to fit everything.

I’ve started a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs for anyone who’d like to contribute and help me fulfil my dream of doing a run to the tip.

Did not know this was a thing. Getting rid of paint here is an absolute pain - you get one collection per year and have to catalogue exactly the size of each paint tin they will collect otherwise they refuse the whole lot :woman_shrugging:

Got rid of a load of paint a few years ago at our tip. Wasn’t sure whether they’d accept it* or if there’d be weird rules about getting rid of it but you can rock up with paint, motor oil, all sorts of horrible shit at any time around here.

*I’d have probably just chucked it in the general waste in that case or failing that, the canal.

About a year ago someone had two boxes of really heavy, oily engine parts delivered incorrrectly to my second floor flat. No return address and not addressed to anyone I can get hold of. Too heavy to move and I have absolutely no idea how to get rid of them so they’re just sat taking up space. So those, please.

I just throw everything in the garage until it’s bursting at the seams. Foolproof system, unless you ever need anything from the garage.

Can I come? I love showing the tip employees how competent I am at throwing bulky waste into the correct section.
