True. But there’s a difference between keeping your head down and quietly distancing yourself from the leadership to try and keep your seat and getting on TV to do it before your leader has even made a statement.

It’s going to be a fun election, isn’t it?

And spurn the chance of potentially getting on the local news with a direct, early appeal to your voters?

I can already feel my soul seeping away.

Shut up Charles.

Sure. He’s a reasonably high profile politician - he shouldn’t have too much trouble getting on the news. And his majority is pretty healthy anyway.

I’m going to be on holiday the week before the election meaning not even I can ruin this one when it gets good.

Bit stupid

Irish citizens can

Scotland v England on 10th June should be fun

didn’t barleysugar get banned for doing this? at least be consistent, mods

i feel like it really doesn’t matter if i turn up to vote. tory cunts and their grotesque reptile woman May will walk this. don’t feel like an election in 2022 matters either - they’ll have worked with the press to come up with a million reasons for why brexit turning out to be a catastrophe and us all living in children of men is liberal pinko remainers fault. think i’m done with this country tbh.

Mentioned it in his speech afterwards, no?

From the Shadow Brexit Secretary too:

Every step of the way Labour has sought to put the national interest first and to build a national consensus around our future relationship with the EU – not as members, but as partners.

That is why Labour did not frustrate the article 50 process in parliament. It is why Labour has set six tests for the final Brexit deal that would deliver the best possible deal for everyone in Britain, whether they voted remain or leave.

This general election is a result of the prime minister’s failure to build a national consensus. It is also an opportunity for Labour to set out an inclusive, progressive and ambitious future for Britain.

I’m sure Stephen Kinnock will too, don’t worry.

why would any party want to win this?
poison chalice, no?

whoever gets in is responsible for the shite deal that the eu exit process will leave us with

Nah, it’ll be the fault of the Remoaners and their relentlessly negative attitude.

the people who will suffer the most from a shite deal are exactly the kind of people tories and tory voters don’t give two fucks about.

All bar three are SNP seats, They might even lose some seats this time around, all in it’s probably a lose lose situtation for the SNP
