Solidarity :fist:

To make matters worse, I’m currently on medication for another, unrelated, issue. Medication that causes dry skin as a side effect. My hands look like they belong to a 120 year old.

eesh, what a fucker. i had a referral to a dermatologist after a bad flare up at the end of last year, but i was moving house at the same time so i thought i won’t change drs just yet so that nothing cocks up and i’ll set up a redirect on my post. had the first appt, not with a consultant but someone taking my history and taking some pictures and stuff and they said they’d get back in touch, and i was waiting and it got worse. went back to the gp coz it looked like eczema herpeticum which i’ve had a couple of times before (the first time i had it was awful, i was tripping out and signed off work and stuff, i was pranging out so much the first time i went to the gp with it that when i went back for my follow up appt i turned up a day early coz i’d convinced myself that’s when she’d said). anyway they put me on antivirals for that and the gp said he’d had a letter from the consultant saying that’s what they recommend while i’m waiting for an appt anyway, and then that cleared up but it’s still bad coz that’s how it goes this time of year, and then last week i got a letter saying because i didn’t come to the last appt i had been taken off the waiting list. i didn’t get a letter about the last appt!! ffsssssss

sorry that is a lot

WTF.

Hope that you get it sorted out soon pal.

yeah cheers, just need to get my arse in gear and register at my new drs and have a new patient appt and get another referral and have the initial appt for that and then an appt with the consultant and it’ll all be fine i’m sure… :upside_down_face:

Thank you! I’ll pick some of this up when I head into town later.

I’m willing to try anything at the minute - if someone told me that spreading Dairylea on my hands would work, I’d give it a go.

I’ve had real problems with my hands particularly over winter and because of excema can’t really have anything perfumed at all. This stuff seems to really work, but I have to apply it multiple times a day (at least ten times a day at the moment) but it is working.

Hmm, is it possible that you’re allergic to the absence of a cat then?

I think you’ve cracked it.

Excuse me, I’m off to buy a cat.

Happy to help.

This is like an episode of House!

Not an actual episode of House, just … You know.

I love this stuff. I don’t suffer from dry skin in summer but in winter I find that living on the coast, IO get windburn/ coldburn (is that a thing?)

Anyway- aveeno and even stronger that that, eucerin with urea:

Has anyone ever had a chapped dick? I think I have a chapped dick. Is that a thing? Is penis moisturiser a thing?

I can send you some or my own penis cream but I’m not sure it’s what you are after.

No reason why yer man can’t get chapped, just like any other area of the body. I had a chapped fanny and bumhole for a while after a waxer used hotwax that was too hot.
