Drowned In Sound Grapple Club [Wrestling-Centric]

HI ALL

So in case you haven’t noticed the Rolling Wrestling thread has been a hive of activity today and that’s partly because we’ve started a weekly wrestling watching book club type thingy called DiS Grapple Club [name in progress]

Essentially we need to keep it separate from the general wrestling thread otherwise it’d be an ungodly mess.

Right here are here are current DiS Wrestling Viewing Club (name in progress) plans>

Wait - A PPV with only 5 matches? This doesn’t feel right to me.

technically just 4, the first one is on the pre-show

Back when they did in your house shows which were only 2hrs lomg

but anyway a lot of royal rumble ppvs are 4/5 matches max

Suggestion: do we really need to do the UK shows? They’re pretty much always inconsequential (although I’ve spotted a HILARIOUS tag match at one of them)

Yeah, but that’s because the rumble takes about an hour and a half, innit (or two hours if Undertaker is one of the first two in)

yeah well, same thing for the main event here

think this is the one where its padded out with a lot of interviews with fans and stuff. seem to remember something with diana hart being paraded through the streets of calgary as miss alberta or something

yeah well it’s on around the same time as Stampede, which is a major yearly event in Calgary so it was part of the build/event

Vince really does hate WWE’s fans, doesn’t he
