Pardon?

It’s been said but it’s a numbers game. I’m sure if as many people who voted in this poll had heard Workshop 19 by Kassem Mosse as had heard Kid A it would be at #3

Coldplay?!

But it is In Rainbows, with its unfaltering emotional intensity and purity of melody, that’s the stand-out album from a band where nearly every release has the potential to be their best. This is when they achieved perfection.

You Said

I became quite obsessed with In Rainbows when it came out and it sound tracked a very good time in my life. I also saw them play live when they toured the album and remember it being something very special. I was personally delighted with the pay-what-you-want idea and really believe it was a strive forward despite what Lily Allen might think.

The album itself felt very innovative and of the time and all that nonsense. But the real reason I loved it so much was simply that it just had so many absolutely great songs. 15 Steps, Bodysnatchers, Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, and Jigsaw Falling into Place are all cracking tunes but it was the more heartfelt stuff like Nude, All I Need, Reckoner and House of Cards that I really connected with and had me returning to the record over and over again.

Yep, don’t panic, its no1.

Videotape is rubbish but the rest is sublime

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. In Rainbow is just fucking boring.

The name of course derives from the Latin “radius” meaning ray, or beam, and “head”, meaning head.
