Funnily enough I was listening to 23 this morning. Great record - Dr Strangelove is perfect too. Was on my long list, but just missed out on my top twenty.
On reflection, I should have swapped out TOTBL as it was always going to get enough credit elsewhere.

Oof just put on the first song to Midnight Organ Fight cos I couldn’t remember if it was Frightened Rabbit that I had heard and disliked or the Twilight Sad (it was the Twilight Sad) and the lyrics are pretty despicably ablist.

iI’s because Music Has The Right To Children was really good, and the artist is still held up by that esteem, despite not really doing anything to push forwards since.

Think Geogaddi is quite a bit better than MHTRTC. It’s also largely responsible for kick starting the Ghost Box / hauntology stuff that got pretty popular at the end of the 00s. (MHTRTC is also brilliant, obvs)

Yea this is my favourite osng off that record - total banger and them at their most springsteen which is good for any band 
. I think neon bible is massively underrated, but also not as good as funeral. They have gone proper shite since mind.

People seem be be retconning all of the Arcade Fire’s past because their last album wasn’t very good.
Funeral, Neon Bible, the Suburbs are a trio of majestic, sweeping, swooning brilliant records.
Reflektor is decent but seemed to me like a step away from what drew me to them in the first place.
It’s nuts to see them compared to the Kaiser Chiefs or called shite and suchlike on this thread. It’s simply not true.
