American version of The Thick of It.

Not really.

Armando Iannucci was involved in both, and both are a satirical look at politics, but Veep evolved into an entire different beast, with much more depth and ridicule of the political establishment.

Boring self-imposed rules:

  1. Must have seen every episode
  2. Started after 1999
  3. Nothing that started great but went off the boil (GoT, Broad City, Office (US))
  4. Roughly ordered by how much I’d enjoy re-watching

Wanted to put I Think You Should Leave on but it’s only an hour and 40 minutes of content so I’ll hold off for now.

I know Peter Kay has fucked it royally since, but does no one like Phoenix Nights anymore? I remember enjoying it. Haven’t watched an episode for fifteen years or so, mind you.

Where did he fuck it? Car Share is superb.

Can we do the 20th Century next so I can vote for the 1995 BBC Adaptation of Pride and Prejudice 20 times please?

I’m surprised @Avery didn’t do this for the 21st century tbh.

I thought it was 1999 tbf. Yeah I probably should have included it.

He still hasn’t watched it all the way through because he’s an arse.

That doesn’t exactly disqualify it as far as I can tell

God he’s such an arse parsnip.
Ban him imho.

everything I voted for was 21st century. I would NEVER be so impertinent as to disobey such a stringent time criterion.

“The Weather”

I told you, I was talking about the reboot! although actually that happened in May 2005, not 2012 as I’d mistakenly, um, joked.
