+1 for Seedlip.

I should say, I don’t think NA beer is “cheating” - if you’re trying to avoid booze, then a drink that is booze free (trace amounts don’t really count), is fine, knock yourself out. But I just feel like for me, the issue isn’t just to cut back on alcohol consumption, it’s to show myself that I don’t need the habitual comfort of a beer to relax / enjoy myself / feel normal etc. And I think if I’m drinking NA beers, part of me will feel like I’m not really escaping the issue, I’m just getting by on a technicality.

it’s an isotonic drink, most alk-frei wheat beers are:

Ordered from them multiple times without any problems if you fancy one at home…

i think nanny state is 0.5%, is that cheating?

nah, hardly any “non-alk” stuff is 0.0%… Estrella AFAIK is the only widely available one that’s actually 0.0%

the heineken one that came to my work the other day made a big thing about being 0.0%

might treat myself to a nanny state if i last each month of the year.

All I know is, I’ve had maybe 3 units since Friday. And won’t be having any more until this Friday coming. Maybe I now have to drink Nanny State and Becks Blue for the rest of my life, like vaping or something. I’m fine with that.

Might get a bottle. Where have you bought it from? Normal supermarkets?

Rothaus alk-frei is good if you can find it!

I got it In Dec 2016 from a craft booze shop in Glasgow. It was a gift for Wor Lass.

I’ve seen it in Tesco in the last couple of months though.

Yeah it’s in Tesco, but it’d sold out when we were last looking for it. It was on some Christmas ITV show, where they were tasting the best spirits, and they included Seedlip on their list.

I had no idea they did an alcohol free one!

Whilst searching for it online, I came across this… Might give the Paulaner a go too.

Right. Ordered this. Probably all rank, but whatever.

Time to ditch this…

Do you work in O** A**** S***** too?

yeah alkhohol-frei bier in Germany is a much more common and accepted thing here, so pretty much all breweries do them (and usually pretty well, as far as alk-frei bier goes) but only a few actually make it over to the UK. I’d wager that Früh Kölsch 0.0% is good too. But aye, my shop used to sell the alk-frei Tannen Zäpfle and it’s decent

Welcome! You are the fourth DiSer I know who works here too.

Now I’m going to be suspicious of everyone I meet. What floor do you work on?
