I’m heading to Amsterdam for work in a couple of weeks. Whenever I go abroad, I like to pick up some good local music.
Does anyone have any good recommendations of Dutch bands/artists?
So far I’ve had recommendations for PAUW, DeWolff, Birth Of Joy, Amber Arcades and De Staat, but others gratefully received.

I think An Autumn For Crippled Children are Dutch. If you like your chilly atmospheric Black Metal then you could do a lot worse.

I should have said I’ve already got all the Focus, 2 Unlimited and Urban Dance Squad I need.

Those Foreign Kids are from Haarlem, which is right near Amsterdam.

I’m heading to the dam on Thursday, I’ll ask around
Fluisteraars’ last album was incredible if you like black metal? (as a veeeery casual fan of the genre)

Came in to recommend these also, one of my favourites of 2015.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It’s just what I’ve been looking for.

You’re welcome. If you haven’t done so yet, album is on bandcamp and is a little gem that was released last autumn.

Ta. I’ve already listened and will be getting it later this week.
