Well, of course solitary ZEBRA! I already talked about them in ā€œAmazing bands you listen to and nobody knows aboutā€. They’re very active, and they’re going to release something soon, so they will be doing lots of concerts this year, I supose. It’s one of my favourite bands, so if you ever go and see them live, tell me how it went!

Here you have some songs:

I like this:

DiS should do more international recommendations. Specifically Estonia and Latvia (I’m off there in a few months).

The Sweet Release of Death

I made a ā€œBest song from a Dutch artistā€ round in my Music League at work. Pleasantly surprised at the playlist and also impressed that I’ve never heard of any of these artists before (except my choice of The Ex, of course)

I just read Rotterdam Goddamn by Jasper Willems which recommends loads of good stuff, playlist from it here

That’s awesome, thanks for that! Have never heard of that book before, but just read up on it and am now super curious. Do you recommend it?

Will have a listen! The Spinvis album from last year was really good, so glad to see that he’s on there (although with an older song)

Rats On Rafts remind me of Snapped Ankles

I really liked it as a primer. there’s loads of good small venues around here but I mostly tended to go to them for international bands so knew hardly anything about the local scene

Been meaning to pick this up, thanks for the reminder! I met Jasper at LGW 18 and he was very nice.
