I was thinking I’ll have to buy a dedicated 4K player in a couple of years. They’re not cheap are they.
I’d like one but yeah, the budget £200 ones seem to have skipping problems or something.
(Regular blu-ray is my preferred choice tbh. Think it looks mint)
I’ve watched a couple of 4k discs on my ps5 in hdr. I have a good and proper calibrated OLED. Just isn’t a big enough leap for me to care.

Arrow Video have a 50% off sale at the moment, with some pretty damn good stuff in there. Picked up Videodrome on 4k for £15 at my local HMV, along with some other bits. Worth a look!

I agree in that I had absolutely no interest in 4K, however, I buy a lot of Blu-rays from ‘boutique’ labels like Arrow Video & Criterion and I started to notice that some releases have started to come out on 4K only. This terrified me that I would be left behind so I bought a ‘budget’ Sony 4K player. The Blu-rays look absolutely brilliant on it but I don’t notice a massive difference between the Blu-rays and 4K discs on my 50" TV.
I got the ‘Narc’ 4K for £15 in my local HMV.

Tbf if a 4k disc has really good HDR and you have a bright enough TV to show it off, they can look really bloody good
