Went to the Coop after work and it was the same there; all the fruit and veg, gone. I can kind of understand people hoarding tins and pasta, but if they buy more fresh fruit than they can eat they’ll just end up having to chuck loads of it away. What a waste.

The only expensive ingredient is the fish, and it doesn’t have to be from fortnums fish counter; the lime juice you soak it in pretty much removes any and all pedigree. I reckon this gigantic bowl I made probably cost £7-8, and as I say it’s enough for 4 people, but I forgot my wife was going away…
