East Anglia in July - a holiday thread allowing our Bog posters to give advice and enjoy themselves

Do you like owls ? I know a cracking owl sanctuary you could go to.

Independent cottages is a good place to look, not as pricey as other websites.

Be cheaper to go to Wales though

Be sure to pop in on a Thursday for the world famous:

Here is an example, but look yourself as well…

Norfolk broads are cool.

For coastal resorts, wells is great (steam railway, Dutch pancake barge). Southwold too, but that’s pretty pretty middle class. It is near CONSTABLE COUNTRY though: flatford is lovely and worth a day trip. Dunwich too. Basically: North Norfolk or Suffolk near southwold are your best seaside bets.

Cromers ok but… Not great.

Great Yarmouth is a fucking shit hole.

If you go to wells, brancaster staithe is good too. Very good fish/seafood at the white horse. Can get a boat trip there to see seal colonies too

The holkem coast at sunset with the tide coming out and the whole beach glistening is one of the most stunning things. Was lucky enough to work there.

Norwich is worth a day trip and also Sheringham has a cracking park if foresty groves and colourful flowers with the sea in the background sounds good to you.

Also Suffolk is also pretty good beaches arnt so nice but the area around southwold is great. Not to mention the beer runs you could go on.
