Well…

We were *supposed* to be going to my dad's but

It’s all kind-of complicated in that:

  • he’s turning 70 next weekend;
  • his fiancée was supposed to be organising some kind of family gathering for him; but
  • I don’t know whether she’s not been in contact because (a) she’s disorganised (b) she’s too busy making plans for a wedding or ( c) my dad doesn’t like a big fuss made of him and has therefore vetoed the idea.

So at the moment we’re doing nothing and are in a sort-of limbo as we don’t want to book anything in, just in case.

On a separate note: AIBU to be annoyed that he’s asked my daughters to be bridesmaids and has ordered them bridesmaids dresses without consulting us on colour / design? There’s a high chance that the dress for our eldest will be too small (she’s wearing age 11/12 clothes at age 10) or will be uncomfortable for her (she’s really sensitive to texture/material)

At my aunt’s on the Saturday for an Easter egg hunt and trying to stop R from getting your when I attempt to limit the amount of chocolate he eats.

That’s about it.

My boss asked if I was doing anything nice for Easter, not long after saying no more leave requests would be approved for that weekend.

If anyone has any good recipes for boss stew, that would be helpful.

I keep forgetting it’s Easter.
Good Friday - me and @Avery and my little sister are visiting my step-nan for lunch. Going to get a train to Southampton, lil sis will drive us to nans then train back in the evening, feat - train beers.
Saturday- out for one of my BFFs birthday. Will no doubt be a big one.
Sunday - probably spend half the day in the kitchen and the rest on the sofa
Monday- hmmm I dunno. If the weather’s nice perhaps a walk…

I like to get very pissed on Maundy Thursday then take 4 days to recover…but this year have a beer festival right on Saturday ruining it.
