WORKING BABY WORKING

Going to see Joyce Manor on the Friday and probably sorting out the garden for the rest of weekend (weather permitting).

Two 8 hour bus/train/bus journeys with a toddler.

I hope this is inspiration to stay home.

How much stuff are you going to in the fest?

Is latest Sunday it can be. Don’t know what sets it tbh.

I know people have moaned that the Easter Vigils (mass where people process into church with candles lit from one big new Pascal one to literally bring the light in) have to be moved to late as the evenings are too light.

In answer to you Eric. No plans.

Would anyone actually be upset if they just picked one date (eg 1st weekend in April) and stuck with it? Would make a lot of sense.

Would help school holiday planning etc as well.

My girlfriend is on call Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so I am planning to make a start on clearing and boarding out the front loft, as I was ill over Christmas and unable to do it then.

On the Monday we’re going to my parents’ for lunch.

In Scotland they’ve made it a rule that Easter school hols is always the first two weeks of April, regardless of when when Easter is

Me. Julian calendar 4lyfe.

It’s to do with moon cycles. Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after March 21st.

Ooh. Interesting. Feel I should have known that.

I haven’t made any firm plans yet - need to talk to the gf / see how much money I have / look more into the programme etc.

Well…

We were *supposed* to be going to my dad's but

It’s all kind-of complicated in that:

  • he’s turning 70 next weekend;
  • his fiancée was supposed to be organising some kind of family gathering for him; but
  • I don’t know whether she’s not been in contact because (a) she’s disorganised (b) she’s too busy making plans for a wedding or ( c) my dad doesn’t like a big fuss made of him and has therefore vetoed the idea.

So at the moment we’re doing nothing and are in a sort-of limbo as we don’t want to book anything in, just in case.

On a separate note: AIBU to be annoyed that he’s asked my daughters to be bridesmaids and has ordered them bridesmaids dresses without consulting us on colour / design? There’s a high chance that the dress for our eldest will be too small (she’s wearing age 11/12 clothes at age 10) or will be uncomfortable for her (she’s really sensitive to texture/material)

oh duh just realised i’m recording an album all weekend, might wanna learn the songs m8
