Echo Beach by Martha and the Muffins

Such an anthem it should be fucking illegal.

When you’re right you’re right.

Very dependable pick for a song at the after’s, those synth riffs in the extended intro. Top stuff.

And I know Chesil Beach is far away in time

Some absolutely huge bangers in there

What a run. Two of the greatest songs of all time, followed by two more bangers

In Dorset?

It’s not to everyone’s tastes.

I’m sorry to say, it’s merely ok

As good as this compilation is, it’s really missing Spellbound by Siouxsie & The Banshees

reminds me of that rock down to electric avenue song by Eddie Argos, maybe because it was on the same depressing local radio

Don’t know it off the top of my head, listening now… feels familiar but can’t say for sure I’ve heard it before.

Intro kind of reminds me of Don’t Fear the Reaper (which in turn reminds me of Chromatics Into the Black).

Thanks for reading

I think you’ve got the wrong Eddie

Eddie Grant*

Unless Art Brut did a cover that I’m not aware of.

I always thought he was called Eddie Argos, huh

maybe it was just used on an Argos advert and it’s merged in my brain
