What’s the point in the sleeping dragon I very slowly killed for 70k credit?
legit might be the first disappointment. it was so massive i didn’t even realise it was a dragon at first. when i did, was kind of ‘happy terrified’ and then it didn’t do anything. rode up and down a bit. killed it. shit, that. felt like some kind of extraordinary final boss and then… nothing.
If you sneak up on it then it is a pretty anticlimactic fight. If you approach it from the front you are supposed to fight through all of the smaller dragons as their health is linked to the huge dragon.

You’re supposed to kill the 5 child dragons first which subtract from her HP. But, why would you?

Would just have sooner fought the massive one as some kind of final proof of awesomeness
Think I’m used to the dragons in Skyrim being extraordinary fights, and the huge dragons in BOTW being something really special. Just hoped for more really!

Yeah I’ve done a bunch of them already (agheel, fella guarding the raya key, glintstone) . Just sad not to get the big lad worked up :’(

Yep, although your mileage can vary with late-areas in From games, CFA is a really great one. The Haligtree too I thought.

So, I’ve still been plugging away at this and the end is in sight. Sort of.
Took hours and hours to beat Godfrey II. First phase was a doddle but the UFC shit did for me time after time.
Then I wasn’t around for a couple of weeks. Radagone is a pretty good fight but I wasn’t so keen on his mate. Probably my biggest failing in these games, apart from the lack of skill, is the inability to change my strategy. Doesn’t matter how badly I’m getting stomped, I’ll just keep right on trying to roll and slash your hamstrings. After realising that all my bleed and poison wasn’t having any effect, I finally gave in and respecced to give me enough Faith to cast Golden Vow and Flame Give Me Strength. That’s a pretty sweet damage bonus.
Took a detour to cheese Mogh II with the shackle and the Physick. If you’ve got the stamina, he doesn’t even get properly into his second phase. Then back to the Elden Throne to claim what’s rightfully mine. Which I haven’t yet because it turned out there’s a whole lot of catacombs and such that I missed and anyway I want to do it right.
So, after 270 hours there’s really only one proper boss left. Really liked Elphael as an area, but fucking hell I’ve lost a few levels worth of runes getting through it. Haven’t met her yet, but I’m hoping I can finish her off before I hit the big 300!

Just got Mel to half health on phase 2. Feels doable now. The stupid spirit summon attack killed me, not sure what to do with that.
I’ve binned off the ice sword spell for pure moonveil cheese, working better. Simplicity is key. Might start recording my attempts (a sure way to never progress past stage 1).

Just pick a direction (left or right) and keep dodging as she fires them off, if you get the timing right you can avoid getting hit.

if you can get off a good distance, running backwards is safe. This gives you a decent punish window on the last lunge too. But if you’re caught up close I had ok success with this strat: roll back, roll back, pause, roll forward, roll forward

153 hours in, was about to (maybe?) enter the capital, but just discovered a chunk of land I’ve not been to before.

In the end game again and i think my appetite for beating the last few wallopers is waning.
Don’t even think i met miquella last time round so might see if i can do her but i doubt I’ll be doing the final boss again.
Currently at godfrey mark 2 and i don’t think i can be arsed
