Can’t believe that there are people on here with the gall to admit they have an induction hob.

Have (good quality) electric hobs (not induction). Literally the only thing I cook on the hob, and ever will cook, is pasta. for that, I pre-boil the water in the kettle. Job’s a good 'un. I own one saucepan (with a lid) and one frying pan (never used, won’t be used).

Yes exactly! Thankfully they told me despite not asking and not being interested.

It’s an electric fan oven but there’s some little reservoir you fill with water from the tap and it turns into steam as stuff cooks.

will you fucking leave off

Saw a skip on fire the other day. Threw some water on it, boiled instantly.

To save some monies they could just chuck some water in the normal oven?

those induction skips are so efficient

Like when you make bread you spray the oven with an atomiser before putting the dough in.

Yes precisely but there is no reasoning with people that have drunk the steam oven kool aid

Cooking is overrated, I think I have said this recently in another thread but anything that takes more time to cook than it does to eat can do one.

I live on my own and cook for myself only - there is no utensil or pan in my inventory that is superfluous (ok, apart form my frying pan). Despite, or because of this, I eat really healthy, good quality food.

that’s quite the euphemism!

Atomiser! Just lob a few ice cubes in innit.

Give me an example of your good quality food. Preferably in 3 seconds or under.

I guess if you don’t enjoy cooking, then the time it takes to eat a meal is a poor return on the investment to make it.
