This list is really vague though
Accounts that will receive it include government accounts, commercial companies, business partners, major media outlets, publishers and some public figures.
Major media outlets, but does that include journalists working for them? Right now I like to know that really IS (e.g.) Nick Robinson spouting absolutely wild brain worms. To me it is actually useful to know these verified celebrities are saying this precisely because I don’t necessarily trust them to be giving me good or reliable information.
Yes but who will check the checkmarks? (I dunno, the coastguard?)
Two ticks are here. And visible on the timeline in a way that just makes everything look even messier.
This is so silly

bankrupting myself to own the libs
Is this owning the libs, Elton? Are the libs the ones who got owned here? Do you truly honestly believe that is what is happening?
Official
Pretty sure this isn’t one of the parody accounts, definitely feels like it should be a post from one of the parody accounts.
Irrationally annoyed that he’s made them switch the mentions and verified tabs on the notifications page.
Wonder how much money there is in people paying $8 for a one off joke like people are now doing
I never saw those tabs before and my mentions still doesn’t seem to update properly.
Ah, the “I want some cool @ name” ghouls are here. Big fan of Elon’s “That’s coming” as if he honestly had already considered this thing. I guess the weird nerds all fall for that shit and think it proves he’s some kind of messiah.
Doing lots of dumb things, keeping what works and changing what doesn’t isn’t exactly the sign of a brain genius is it lol
Still, at least Tesla is still … oh
Would have been fine as a strategy for running Twitter say 10 years ago, but Trust is too important now to risk by throwing everything at the wall.
