Insane drummer and well, insanely talented musicians as a whole. I love the way they construct a song!

Have you heard the album ‘Knots’ by their old band Crash of Rhinos? It’s one of my favourite ever albums and has more of that quality musicianship (and drumming) in droves.

you clearly haven’t read the entire thread

yes, yes i have the vinyl and was introduced to them by another member of this board making me see their support set, at a gig where i met lots of other people from this board for the first time

Ah great! Apologies, I only dip into this thread every now and then and didn’t properly catch myself up.

This went well.

They were superb last night. Its crazy how fresh Full Collapse still sounds, Geoff seems a proper GBOL too

I’m surprised the Hotelier is not higher (and that he said Goodness was better than Home Like…!)

Shit list that.

That list makes me question whether or not I’m even into those genres.

I am, but I need to go about 17 entries deep before I get to anything I’m more than ambivalent about.

Too many weird choices of good bands’ bad albums high up the list for one thing.

I like a lot of the albums on that list. In a different order, mind.

I think it’s a great list of records. I’d happily listen to 80% of it.

It’s almost universal that critic types think Goodness is better than HLNPIT. But it leaves me a bit cold.

There are loads of great albums in that list but the ordering is way off. I love love love the Foxing record but it shouldn’t be #2. And #1 is off-the-charts mental.

Two Cloud Nothings albums and they didn’t even get the right one.

It kind of seems like everyone forgot about White Lung, weird seeing them pop up twice and at the #1 spot here. What ever happened to them? The 2016 album was a pretty big disappointment.

Spot on about Parting the Sea… in that article, what a record.

On The Impossible Past at number 10

Feel like that’s the record I’ve mentioned the most times on DiS emo threads without any of the big players agreeing with me that it’s an absolute masterpiece. Anyone who hasn’t listened to it - please do so I can know your opinion of it :+1:

Yeah, it is odd. Sorry is an absolute banger but I never got on board with anything after. Can’t tell you what happened except they went a bit about. Listened to their own hype a bit much maybe.

Can’t believe I forgot to post this (and that no-one else has). New Spanish Love Songs album on Feb 7th.

Having heard it, will be very surprised if this doesn’t wind up as my AOTY. The step up from Schmaltz is ridiculous. FFO: The Menzingers, The Wonder Years. Main support on the upcoming Menzingers tour, which is a match made in heaven.
