Our kids want to use our en suite. Really annoying. Daughter has an en suite too but out of bounds until she’s older

outdoor toilets would be best for house parties

should be reserved for hotels and student halls tbh

They’re probably less for shitting in and more for convenient post-sex cleanup, aren’t they

Just put out a washing up bowl and a stack of old newspapers

I don’t know about your lifestyle but I know which happens more often in my bathroom thank you very much

Lovely stuff

Don’t understand the problem people have with damp/smells from the en-suite really. Open a window or use a good extraction fan.

(I will concede that a windowless ensuite sounds a bit grim).

I was just trying to find that thread to post this example in it, but I can’t remember what it’s called.

as long as it’s in the garden away from everyone. I don’t think home toilets should have to handle the heavy loads you get at a house party. If toilets were sentient they’d be crying

yeah our bedroom has an ensuite and it’s useful. Means my wife has the main bathroom and I have the ensuite for showers etc. It’s a bit dingy though and the previous owners chose the weirdest purple tiles for the floor

Just spent ages trying to find the thread for when it would be funny if a reply was a reply to the one before it to highlight this and in that time you beat me to it

What is that thread called?

Might build an en suite like this one in the hotel I (used to?) use for business travel

The acoustics alone

good in a bigger/busier house. i live in a small house where the bathroom is right over there so don’t really need one i suppose. had one in halls which was handy though.

also it’s just an extra bathroom to have to clean

I stayed in a hotel in Hungary which had a window between the bathroom and the sleeping area, I think it was meant to be sexy but it wasn’t sexy.

We keep thinking of getting an ensuite but the effort just seems a bit much since our bedroom is at the opposite side of the house to were all the bathroom pipes are.

Sugar?

No thanks I’m En Suite enough
