most injustices are perpetuated by systemic forces aren’t they? Feeling appropriate shame or embarrassment is like the human element rising up and recognising this. If you are just getting by on £40k plus and crushed by pressures outside your control then this is doubly worse for those earning much less or their opportunities and lifestyles have had to suffer to balance out the difference. This is why it’s painful for people to accept socialism I guess.
