As if we don’t have enough end-of-year threads. I suspect most of us have users we recognise as having very similar tastes to us. Simple format - tag a user and ask them to recommend you three essential records to check out before you make your AOTY list.

Lawrence English - Cruel Optimism (proper dense stuff, Peregrine-esque)
White Poppy - Pink Haze of Love (delightful echoey gazey vocals)
Julie Byrne - Not Even Happiness (if you haven’t heard it, it even has a pure drone track as its midpoint, which for a folk album is fairly unusual)
