Ethical clothes shopping

These guys are great for outdoors gear: http://www.paramo-clothing.com/en-gb/ourethics/

Stuff’s not cheap, but really well made, lasts a long time and they’ll give you £50 off your next purchase if you recycle your old kit with them. :+1:

Trying to do a bit more hiking and stuff these days so this could be useful. The clothes do look well made

Are those feathers from freerange or barn raised birds?

It’s good stuff. Their waterproofs in particular are great. Quite heavy though as they’re lined, so not ideal for summer. They don’t use a membrane like most waterproofs, so they’re real easy to wash and reproof, which also makes them last longer. I’ve had one for years. Worth the cash imo.

Another good outdoorsy-type ethical brand are Alpkit. Bought a backpack from them recently, it’s excellent quality. Very tempted to try their base layers and socks for cycling.

Yeah, I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. Kit’s really cheap for the quality too.
