Sané is a good example. Born and grown up in Germany and fair play to him for wanting to play for his country but his dad was a Senegalese international (and even named him after his coach Claude Le Roy)

Europe (and the middle) are definitely actively extracting that football wealth

I remember reading an article after WC2018 saying ’Finally, an African team has won the World Cup’

But problematic though - on the one hand FFF definitely benefits from colonialism, on the other hand it’s all a bit ‘he’s black so he’s not really French’
