I’ve learned a lot from this tournament and these threads and I’m thankful for it. All new to me:

  • Term humdinger/bumbinger

  • Mancini is a golden god carved by Zeus himself

  • “Its Coming Home” (awful song, but the camaraderie is endearing)

  • North Macedonia is an actual country

Things I wish I saw:

  • A bicycle kick

  • One of those rolling/tumbling throw in towards the box you read about.

Still have one game left, maybe all my wishes will come true.

Because I’m a football fanatic now, I watched Chile vs Brazil in the Copa after a glorious day of the Euro’s. Guy from Chile went back about 15 yards from the line, ducked down real low and had a head of steam about to toss one in. Much to my dismay he teased me and didn’t tumble.

Yeah the one I mentioned wasn’t even a proper one (Iran) cos the referee blew before. An exhilarating couple of seconds though.
