I can still see him going though. Man C is a big call right now. Villa are, in ways a bigger club. If he’s promised 1st team football regularly at Man C he’ll be off.

Also, Kane, I can see heading to Man U, which would be good for him, he needs to stop going missing, he has the tools, yet fades when the going gets tough at a very high level, at Man U he may sort this, in 2, 3 years he will lose a yard of pace, he needs to step up now, I feel he is learning still but with this Euro experience he will find his grit.

i know you’re all a bit tense about throwing these sort of accusations about, but yeah, Baccara in that video had imbibed the majority of coke in mainland Europe at the time of filming.

He’s the first name.on the team sheet at Villa though. He may go and I will look foolish but I dont think he will

I had a fun morning/afternoon ! I’m glad it may have been somewhat fun for the neutral. I’m pretty drunk, trying to upscale this monstrosity

I’m going to attempt to add some garlicy mushrooms and toms to it.

It’s pronounced cruh-saaaahnt btw

Time will tell. Villa are a big club but money talks. Keep hold of him and Mings and I can see top 6. Lose them both and I can see Blues at your door twice a season.

Been a pretty fine tournament imo been as many fun games any I can remember. Good old tournament, the day with the 3-3s draws was a kicker.

Never really felt like a historical moment, missed sitting with a bunch of pals in a pub.

England did very well getting to the final. Felt very conficted routing for them due the media vitriol and the general scummery amongst the fan base. It was probably even worse in the past but hidden without camera phones.

Can’t think of a single player within the England team that’s been disappointing and many of the players have been incredible. Felt a bit annoyed at the lack of presence in the box. Would love a Müller type player to grow into the side or Alli to kick on. Be nice if Kane slides into a 10 as he ages and Bamford, Watkins or a pressing forward would have torn apart the Italians from 60 mins onwards today.

Think Southgate’s done a really good job throughout the tourney and it was only today that I think I could have a valid questioning of his choices. Don’t think there’s a better manager to move the team forwards.

Only 3 more years until more EUROS.

Hope everyone’s had a lovely time. x

Nice post. Kane needs to learn from this. He is the man, clearly, the names you suggest are great players to take over if he fades or fails to deliver when it matters. That’s GS call and he’s got a lot right yet made some odd decisions tonight. GS is the man though, like Kane he needs to learn from this, and he will. His soul is in it, you can tell.

Dead nice to ask yourself who was the best who was the best England player of this tournament and it was probably Sterling but Shaw, Phillips, Pickford, Stones, Maguire, Rice, Walker, Saka have all played some of their best football of their career and none of the other players have made any mistakes.

You just sometimes meet better sides with more experiance. Italy managed their intensity that a younger side couldn’t match. Such a good bunch of lads.

Time will tell. JG at Villa is a great fit and it’ll be good for football if he stays. When the dust settles, and the media / money circus gets going he’ll be off. Hope you are right though with the Shearer, Le Tissier examples, but that is sadly a bygone age.

I really hope the lads aren’t on social media tonight / or are having comments filtered by their social media managers. I went to post a comment on Saka’s Instagram and was actually pleasantly surprised to see an outpouring of support for him, which seems to be working on drowning out the scum.

In any great team, many come to the fore, Sterling has been world class at times, his game lacks something, his talent is undeniable. The reals star is the team, it worked, mostly, we fell, but we will learn and press on. England have always been ploddy, like playing with some old skool chipper style, that needs to stop. Southgate also needs to find or articulate a player like Chiellini, a nails player, one look at him a times and you knew England would lose, he radiated victory. England need that. Keep the modern vibe which feels so right, but just those few extra ingredients, and we are there.
